About Me

I’m a 30 year old mother of 3 who often feels like a weakling because I didn’t choose to have more children; my pregnancies and births were basically a breeze but I am emotionally maxed out with my 3 amazing children, so we are done. I LOVE to play soccer and play a couple games a week. I’m one of those crazy people who loves to exercise purely because of how it makes me feel; but I have been one of those people that exercises because I hate my body and feel I need to measure up to that unrealistic body image portrayed by the media. I’m forever grateful to be done with that very painful part of my life. I recently found a NEW hobby, yes, even 30 year-olds can find new hobbies; I paint. I use Home Depot house paint in just five colors (red, yellow, blue, black, and white) with some cheap brushes and canvases from Michael’s and I create cute little scenes for my nieces and nephews. I couldn’t love it more and I just might dream of becoming a famous, highly-paid artist one day. I also enjoy doing large puzzles, hiking and reading. My passions and interests far outweigh the amount of free time I have and that is a constant struggle for me.

Thankfully, I also enjoy being a mother and wife and working hard every day to be the best version of myself. I am basically obsessed with improvement and progress; I always want to be better. This can get extremely tiring but my husband has helped to ground me with his unconditional love; I know I am loved and have worth outside of my accomplishments now. This knowledge also comes from the truths I’ve learned as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I have always loved teaching principles of the gospel; from the earliest age I can remember, I looked forward to family night lessons and welcomed the opportunity to teach. I seemed to have some talent for it as well; my parents still remark at my teaching ability and wisdom that began at such a young age. I’m currently serving in The Church as a primary chorister which is all about teaching gospel principles through music. I have enjoyed the challenge and responsibility of teaching my children, young as they are, the foundational principles of the gospel using the Come Follow Me outline. It’s tricky to turn these principles and truths into a toddler-friendly lesson that keeps attention and remains with them, but I LOVE IT. I hope you find inspiration, hope, guidance and help in teaching your own family by reading through some of our experiences. Please comment and lets support each other in raising children who have their own testimonies, understand gospel principles and know how to have joy in this life and in the life to come.
